About Us

Dr. Eisner and Dr. Kapson met as juniors at the University of Pennsylvania when we paired together in a Research Methods course in psychology. After graduation, we moved to Boston where we were research assistants at the Bipolar Clinic and Research Program at Massachusetts General Hospital. We went on to earn our Ph.D.s in clinical psychology from American University (Dr. Kapson) and University of Miami (Dr. Eisner) both training in cognitive behavioral therapy. We returned to Boston and Massachusetts General Hospital to complete our training and start our families. Dr. Kapson worked with veterans in the Home Base Program and Dr. Eisner returned to the Bipolar Clinic and Research Program as well as the primary care psychiatry department. We both made values-based decisions to join our current group practice, Needham Psychotherapy Associates, to continue to provide high quality clinical care with more balance and flexibility as our families grew. Friends and colleagues for over 20 years, we are excited to bring you this collaboration.
